Biography
Started career at Aberdeen Standard Investments (Asia) Limited in 1994 as analyst and fund manager on Asian equities. Transferred to Sydney in 2001 as Head of Australian Equities. Held roles in London, Edinburgh and Philadelphia as Head of Pan-European Equities and Head of Developed Markets ex-Asia before returning to Singapore in 2008 as Investment Director overseeing equity investments in seven regional offices. Managing Director of Aberdeen Asset Management Malaysia. Involved in numerous restructuring initiatives in Australia and Europe while spearheading investment teams in various M&A projects including acquisition of Edinburgh Fund Managers 2005, Deutsche Asset Management UK 2006, Philadelphia Nationwide Financial Service US 2007 and Credit Suisse Asset Management 2009. Responsible for setting up group's research systems and led transition projects during Europe's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) implementation. 29 years of extensive experience managing assets and funds including Asian and Emerging market equities at Ostrum Asset Management Asia Ltd, part of Natixis Investment Management group with US$1 trillion funds under management.
